Longbiao Chen is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Computer Science at Xiamen University. He is affiliated with the Fujian Key Laboratory of Sensing and Computing for Smart City and the Key Laboratory of Multimedia Trusted Perception and Efficient Computing, Ministry of Education. He has been selected for national, provincial, municipal, and university talent programs in China.

He received his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2016 under the supervision of Gang Pan, and a second Ph.D. from Sorbonne University in 2018 under the supervision of Daqing Zhang. Before returning to China, he served as an assistant researcher at Institut Mines-Telecom, France.

His research focuses on crowd intelligence, embodied intelligence, spatial computing, ubiquitous computing, and domain-specific large language models. He has published 87 papers, including 14 CCF-A papers and 17 CCF-B / Clarivate JCR papers as first or corresponding author. His work received the 2022 ACM SIGSPATIAL China Rising Star Award and ACM UbiComp Honorable Mention Awards in both 2015 and 2016. He also holds 20 granted invention patents and has led six competitive research projects, including NSFC General and Young Scientist grants, a national defense basic research project, and a national high-resolution remote sensing project.

He is active in the research community through leadership and service roles in ACM SIGSPATIAL China, the CCF Ubiquitous Computing Committee, CCF YOCSEF Xiamen, editorial boards, and international conference program committees. He has long contributed to undergraduate and graduate teaching in software engineering and pattern recognition, organized student innovation and competition programs, and guided award-winning teams in innovation and entrepreneurship contests.
